As an experienced litigator, mediator, arbitrator, trainer, Ms. Nesbitt will help resolve disputes in a fair, respectful, and efficient manner. In her more than 20 years of practice, she has earned a reputation for unwavering integrity and fairness. She has maintained a private practice since 1992 and is often called upon to collaborate with area attorneys in resolving disputes through mediation.

Ms. Nesbitt received her Law degree from The University of Michigan Law School and is certified as a Superior Court Mediator, Family Financial Mediator, and a Clerk of Court Mediator. Having worked as an arbitrator and also an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County, she is very familiar with the court system and the legal community. In addition to her law and mediator training, Ms. Nesbitt has had extensive and specialized training in listening and communication. When mediating cases, she uses her careful listening and intentional objectivity to support the parties to reach a fair and just result in which everyone involved can feel satisfied.

Ms. Nesbitt believes in mediation as a means to resolving conflict because it mirrors her personal mission, which is to help others learn to resolve conflict peacefully, to communicate more effectively and with an open mind, thereby creating a more peaceful world in which all may live. Her approach is one of unblemished integrity, respect for the individual and nonjudgmental of events and actions.
